Jade Brandt
Jade was selected for the U14 Team to compete at the Australia Cup on Saturday 2.2.08. They only selected 5 girls & 4 boys from Qld to compete against the other states it was a National event. This was quiet a big event in the open team they had top athletes competing trying to qualify for the Beijing Olympics. Jade was one of five girls selected to compete in the 800m finishing 1st and 100m relay finishing 4th. The Queensland team certainly did your state proud by finishing in 2nd place with only 2 points behind NSW!

It is with great excitement we can annouce Jade Brandt is head of the ranking in 2007 in the 13yr old girls in Australia for her 1500m time. At the Bank of Queensland 1500m Classic at the University of Queensland (UQ) on Thursday 8th November, 2007 a record number of competitors were attracted to the cool, calm conditions which were a catalyst for fast running.
Whilst many records were broken, the run of the evening belonged to thirteen-year-old Jade Brandt in the OpenWomen/Secondary School Girls Race. Last year's winner Megan O'Hare did much of the front running, but on the last lap Jade took the lead. Down the home stretch, Ms O'Hare moved out wide to make a run for home, but Jade held on to win in 4.32.57 to ms O'Hare's 4.34.08. this was a significant personal best by 10 seconds for Jade which would have placed her third in the main women's event.
Fantastic effort Jade!

7. Little Athletics Cross Country Series - Series Champion
8. Little athletics selected for the U/13 Qld team for nationals in Perth
9. State Track 7 Field - 800m - 1st, 1500m - 2nd
10. national Track & Field - 2km Steeple - 2nd, 800m & 1500m - 3rd.

Over 600 guests enjoyed a chilling celebration of fine food, wine, spectacular entertainment and fabulous auction items. Whilst guests enjoyed all this, at the same time they were helping to raise much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
As Table Captain, the Ingles Group provided support in helping to sell tickets to this worthwhile event.
We are pleased to report that the ball raised over $200,000, a truly outstanding result, which will help them continue to provide treatment, support and education for clients of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
